Last week was a little of a craze, with a lot of planning, organising, panicking, spending, and crafting in order to churn out the most fantastic event of the year for Pre-Uni students - the long-awaited Prom Night. Therefore, lots of time, money and energy were consumed. Hence, the lack of blogposts this last week.
Prom happened not exactly how I envisioned it to be.
When prom was at its initial planning part, it was as if it really was going to be THE event to be at, with all the glitz and glamour, with cameras flashing, with people groovin' on the dancefloor, everyone really mingling and showing off their outfits etc. Being the emcee for the night, I thought I kind of failed to engage the crowd and get the party started. I felt really unsatisfied and frustrated with myself, that I can't even host a proper event and get people talking. Gah! My friends keep telling me, no, it's the crowd being anti-social, it's bad organisation, it's just the crowd being all chinesis and not sporting. But, I beg to differ. If I can't even engage the local crowd, my friends, how could I have hosted any international event, for that matter?
Anyway, a huge thanks to the committee for helping out with prep. If there's one thing I enjoyed most about prom, that would be the day before when we went to the hotel for prep. I even made a video of what happened before the event. LOL
Check it out!
I really don't have the mood to blog about prom, really. So, do feel free to check out Naomi's post about prom prep.hehe
*oh, it was really nice having to meet new peeps and catch up with my old mates too! So, that's another plus point! lol
