a picture of a child frowning tells us that maybe she is in a dire state of hunger
or maybe she doesn't like the way her feet is soaked and damped by trapped rainwater in her boots
could she be frowning as a tool to get more candy from mummy dearest?
we will never know
but the point isn't that a picture can't tell us exactly what the subject is going through
but it acts as the catalyst to imagination and wonder of the viewer
the starting line to no ending
a fall into a bottomless abyss of illusion and marvel

they say pictures speak louder than words
reading between the lines and the curves of pixels, mushed together to form a singular portrayal
does really spark an idea of what the photographer was going through at the time
but it is based on one's imagination and curiosity that really makes pictures come to life
