Yes people, i'm back in school. *pat myself on the back* And that would be my ultimate excuse for not blogging this whole week. It has been a loooooong and pretty tiring week with lots of emotions, in between all the hecticness and glee.
First three days of registration and orientation, I was in EC. I would be lying if I say I really wanted to be an EC student then. Haha it's just lil' competitive positive rivalry between SETA and EC, i guess. As the orientation went along, it turned out not as bad as everyone thought it would be. I mean, the people there are nice, discipline's tight, they know what they're doing and most of all, the infrastructure's really Westminster Abbey-ish. haha Of course, EC stands for English College. Any human being would've known. Pssshhht.
So there were taklimats after taklimats about school rules, school teachers, subject packages, more school rules and disciplinary stuff. I am certain that everyone's legs were all like Jell-O as we sat on the floor the whole time. Thank goodness for the air-con in the dewan, otherwise, we would've been roasting and cramping away.
Olivia and I (and most of the ex-SETA girls) wanted to transfer out. So, we went and quickly settle the release papers and all that jazz. But it took about three days to get everything done. In between all that madness of running around, to and fro the office and to the phone booth to tell the latest news to my mum, we pretty much got to know the selok-belok of the school. I shall not touch on the girl's bathroom part, period. XP
Ice breaking session was called LDK (forgotten what was is supposed to stand for) which was when we were all seperated into groups of 20 and were given time every orientation day to discuss on a performance on the last day. My group was extremely shy the first day except a mere few. I was i'd like to think, as random and outspoken, as I am usually. But i was actually holding back slightly cuz you know, dont want to get on people's nerves on the first few days itself no ? Haha
On the last day, we did two songs and didnt win. NOT A SURPRISE.
But during those few days of orientation, i've met new peeps and reunited with some of my primary sch friends and of course, ex-Perling's. I was really thrilled about seeing some of them again. Sadly, I was about to tranfer and MAY not see them again. But at the same time, I was excited to see what SIGS has in store for me. So, it was definitely a bittersweet moment when I said my goodbyes and farewells to my group members and my friends :( You guys have been really nice.
So, before i knew it, my butt was already in SIGS on Thurday, with no clue whatsoever about the school and what to do when and where. If it wasn't for Naomi, I would've been a lone wolf and a lost sheep, all at the same juncture. Hahaha Then later on, i found out that Manmit (Meat as Naomi calls her, cute !) was also doing Form 6. Went into class and made new friends.
I realised that you know, no doubt I knew everything about EC and I missed the group of friends i made there, the better option for my future was actually to tranfer to SIGS. I'm officially a SIGS Arts Pre-University student. hahahaha as weird as it sounds, i'm having a whole lotta fun. The whole system here is very-much like college. Rules are more limear to us, the teaching style of teachers change, we are actually allowed to bring laptops to school and all that jazz lah ! It's pretty cool.
One of my friends actually said to me : " Eh why do you like to transfer school so much ? " Hahahaha considering the fact that since primary school itself i've tranferred schools. Then to secondary and now pre-uni. Haha I would say i think change happens all the time, whether you like it or not and all we can do is to adjust to it and make it work (sounding like Tim Gunn in Project Runway! lol). So, yeahhh ! I have my reasons and trust me, they're all reasonable reasons ;)
Okay, gonna get some school supplies tonight and get a bookbag (cuz the deuter one i'm using now, my mum insisted that's for travel use only) !!! YESHHHH !
