It has been a whole month since I left Graceland South Africa and two months since SPM left my life forever. And I must say, it feels like a whole year has passed. Maybe it's because I'm pretty much doing nothing at home and have no goal, whatsoever, in my life until my results are officially out. Till then, I would be having result nightmares over and over again for a month plus. Sigh, and it's definitely not something that a pewrson like me, being the teacher's daughter and all the fucking high expectations of other teachers all on me. Damn, I really need those 'A's.
So, after cny and all that gleeful madness, I have come to realise that my friends are pretty awesome. I mean, they say that friends are the family you choose. I couldnt agree more, really. A few of us went for karaoke session on Friday afternoon as a farewell gathering for Preetha, the wacky one, who is heading to greater horizons - Kuala Lumpur. For good. Yeah, its sad, i know. Haha! So, Jon and Jess came and picked me up. After that, Cedric and Isaac came along. And then there was Hebron. We were making so much noise in Jess's eight-seater but it was such an awesome time.

We practically made every single song our own and i think we did a GREAT job, editing all them songs. Like seriously. It was sheer madness. But all of us went home with smiles on our faces and not to mention, sore throats. Haha! After a whole four hours of screaming and shouting into the mics, we all had McDs for dinner in the car and t'was madness when Jon and Jess spoke to the operator. Wait, not spoke, shouted is a more suitable word i guess. And the funny thing is the operator was i think below 1km from us. It's super funny. I really had a blast with these guys. It's like we have no line in between us tho we're off different background and different race. We are family.
And, on sunday, they all came over for cny gathering in my house. It was beyond super. It has been so long since all of us actually did something together. The thing about this group of friends i like is, they actually dont discriminate and we all speak one language. So, i think they're awesome. We would just tease one another about our skin colour and how we all differ, but in a really neutral way. Laughing at each other and with each other is the best. Haha!
I think that this group of friends are ones who will hang out at the mamak when we are all old and shrinking and like, talk about our grandkids and life. Haha!
I have awesome friends :)
